After 4 successful years of workshops and studies based on inclusion and disabilities, Trinayani launched its very own “TOWARDS INCLUSION – a 6 in 1 GAME KIT”. This comes as an endeavour to spread a wildfire of awareness about disability among individuals- from children to adults.
This comes as a part of the constant efforts in keeping with our commitment to spreading awareness about disabilities and empowering the academic community to respond to diverse learners. This first-of-a-kind, unique, card game kit on disability awareness, was developed over three years of extensive research and pilot study by Padma Shastry and Ritika Sahni, in which we had school and college principals, play therapists, mainstream teachers, parents, special educators, office goers and of course children as participants, from across 3 cities of Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.
The Card Game kit is highly recommended for stakeholders in the Diversity and Inclusion field; and the educational community. It will play a part in imparting values, changing attitudes and providing adequate, appropriate and relevant information necessary for harmonious inclusion in an interactive, engaging and fun way. Through the game, we wish to promote acceptance and familiarize the user with the world of persons with disabilities through a playful method. Most importantly these card games will challenge players’ perceptions of disability and change their attitudes.
The Game kit and the introductory workshop that we offer, along with it, support the integral values of the D&I field and the academia, recently aligned with the National Education Policy’s affirmation for disability awareness in teachers and students alike.
