Volunteers are the strength of Trinayani. Over the years, our volunteer community has grown with creative, motivated individuals from all age groups who have made our cause their own cause. Our volunteers have helped us take steps towards our goal and venture into various initiatives over the years.

Become a part of our Trinayani family and Make A Difference

Here are some ways in which you can contribute:

  • Inspire your neighbourhood club, school, or office, to host a disability sensitization session. We only require 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  • If you are a media professional volunteer your expertise in making short awareness clippings capturing moments from the lives of Persons with Disabilities, to be used in our sensitization workshops.

  • Hire the services of our visually impaired therapists from Sparsh Foot Spa, Kandivali West, Mumbai.

  • Create opportunities for employing persons with disabilities in your area of work


Meet some of our volunteers:

Diya Piramal, Anagha Srinivasan and Arushi Maheshwari in conversation with our Founder-Trustee Ms Ritika Sahni and Dr Angshu Jajodia 

Diya Piramal, Anagha Srinivasan and Arushi Maheshwari are 11th std students of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School Mumbai. They have been volunteering their time with Trinayani since July 2021. Their main contribution has been to our social and digital advocacy campaigns along with curating and conducting 4 monthly inclusive meetups among other things. 

Check out the Being Better – Language of Disability series conceptualized directed and edited by our young volunteers: avoid ‘handicapped’, avoid ‘mentally retarded’, avoid ‘deaf and dumb’, avoid ‘wheelchair bound’, avoid ‘victim of disability’.


IMT students and faculty in conversation with our Founder-Trustee Ms Ritika Sahni

Tushar Churamani, Lakshay Piplani, Mujeeb Syed, Ashutosh Sharma, Nruhari Viswanath, Ayush Mittal and Divyansh Kharadkar – finance and marketing students from the Institute of Management and Technology, Ghaziabad volunteered with us for 3 months around December 2021.

Over these three months, their main focus was on social media strategies and outreach for our game kit.

In the second half of 2021, 5 students from BITS School of Management, Mumbai – Abhinav Singhal, Ansh Verma, K V Krishnam Raju, Nikhil Kumar and Sakshi Agarwal volunteered with us for research purposes.

Shazia Qureshi

Shazia is a TISS alumnus, social worker and accessibility professional focused in the field of disability, Strength-Based and Inclusive Graphologist and Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner. She has been handling the communications and outreach for Trinayani among other things. 

She is also the first employee of Trinayani since August 2021.


Vedika Tikmani

An aspiring Social Worker with experience in the marketing field, Vedika has contributed to the social media and outreach for Trinayani. Just like Shazia, she started as a volunteer in the second half of 2021 and has now been an employee since Feb 2022 with us working on different projects under Trinayani.


Nikita Singh

Yoga, sport and exercise psychologist, Nikita conducted mindfulness workshops for Trinayani along with helping with other workshops.


Yogeeta Sawant

Currently a Biotechnology student at Bhavans College, Mumbai Yogeeta has been helping us make our social media pages accessible via alt text and subtitling.
