Since Trinayani’s foundation, we have come a long way in spreading awareness among our friends both with & without disabilities and advocating for persons with disabilities. This effort has been recognised over the years by many individuals and institutions. We are delighted to be able to share these achievements with our audience.

Disability Campaigner and trainer, Trinayani’s trustee and founder Ms Ritika Sahni were honoured with the Kandivali Ratna Award (for vocational excellence) in recognition of her contribution to promoting and spreading equality for disabled people.
Trinayani would like to express our gratitude to the Rotary Club of Mumbai Kandivali West for this honour.
Ms Sahni received this award from the President, Mr Bhavin Toparani and DGN Rtn Chetan Desai.

Milestone For Trinayani

It was a pleasure and a privilege for our founder and trustee Ms Ritika Sahni to receive an invitation to share our work with the world at the prestigious Dubai Expo 2021 where a whole week was dedicated to Tolerance and Inclusion. The session was themed “Designing Inclusive Societies: A voice for All” and took place at the expo on the 14th of November, 2021—two days prior to International Day of Tolerance 2021.

21st June 2013, Mumbai: Social Enterprise of Year award at the 4th Annual India Leadership Conclave and Indian Affairs Business Leadership Awards 2013.

8th May 2013, New Delhi: Our film I AM SPECIAL, SO ARE YOU received the First Prize in the category – “Under 5 Minutes Film Competition” at the WECARE TRAVELING DISABILITY FILM FESTIVAL promoted by Brotherhood, headed by Satish Kapoorji.
On behalf of filmmaker Indranil Goswami, Ritika Sahni received the award from Ms Stuti Kacker, Secretary, Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the official ceremony. Others present were Mrs Poonam Natarajan, Chairperson, The National Trust, Mr Lal, CEO of The National Trust, Mr Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Joint Secretary, (DD), Ms Kiran Mehra-Kerpleman, Director, the UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan and Mr Ahluwalia. This event allowed us to interact with filmmakers from across the country and watch other award-winning entries in the 1 minute, half-hour and full-length categories.

9th May 2012: Trinayani’s work “Ferro Equip and Modular-Infotech” in the field of accessibility was recognised at the first “Global Accessibility Awareness Day” celebration in India. Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Maharashtra took the initiative of celebrating the day with the support of Nasscom & Nasscom Foundation, sponsored by Microsoft India and organized by Barrierbreak Technologies. The highlight of the event was the maharashtra.gov.in website demo by Bhavesh Patel from Barrierbreak using the Screen reader & the Braille Displayer.

7th March 2015: Our Founder-Trustee Ms Ritika Sahni received the “Women’s Achiever’s Award” on behalf of all those who work along with Trinayani to spread the message of Disability Awareness. A special thanks to the Young Environmentalist Programme Trust and Elsie Gabriel for acknowledging our work.
